Fantastic Walks in Snowdonia!

Over the past two weeks I have been exploring the amazing high mountains and valleys of North Snowdonia.  The source of Afon Dyfi (shown here) just below Aran Fawddwy was a very special long walk with the Meirionydd Ramblers.  Lunch by Craig-Llyn-Dyfi after a difficult climb and descent a grand treat!

Another tough walk with the Ramblers was up Llethr (on the south of the Rhinog range) at the end of Cwm Nantcol – it was a very steep climb up from the valley.  The view down to Llyn Hywell from the top was very beautiful but finding a place for lunch out of the very cold wind was difficult!

Also the superb view down to the estuaries of Afon Dwyryd and Glaslyn below was a fabulous treat on a walk up to the ancient stone circle of Bryncaderfaner.
