Bardsey /Ynys Enlli Book

My book on  “Bardsey – Now and Then”  is full of my images of the island and the people who make it such a special place to visit.  I have also written about my experiences from the many visits I have made there over the years.  The book also contains a diary written by the last school mistress’s daughter  in the mid 1900s and a reminiscence from Tomos who lived on the island in his childhood in the late 1800s and contains old black-and-white images of Bardsey.  Price £6.95

Rivers of North Wales Series

RiversBooks_web

I have produced three books to date on the rivers of North Wales with writer Alun John Richards.  Each of the books took over 3 years of work to gather the images exploring different aspects of the rivers and their environs.  The books follow the rivers from source to mouth and contain stories about legends, industrial heritage, flora and fauna – the books are £12 each.

My first book entitled “Rhosydd – A Personal View/Golwg Bersonol” is in black-and-white.  It is about Rhosydd Slate Quarry which is situated high above Blaenau Ffestiniog and illustrates a haunting poem written by Richard Owen at the closure of the slate quarry in 1920.  The text gives an insight into the hard life of the quarrymen at the end of the 19th century.

The book is bilingual Welsh/English with the English written by myself and the Welsh by Myrddin-ap-Dafydd of Carreg Gwalch – Price £9.50.
