Another Special Day Up in the Rhinog Mountains

Another Special Day Up in the Rhinog Mountains

A very wild day up in the Rhinog mountains of North Wales taking images for my next book “Meirionnydd – The Old Ways”  this is to be about the drovers’ roads and stagecoach routes.  Mab is sitting here by the oldest stagecoach route in the area which went from London to Harlech.

The route goes over Diffwys ridge and drops down to Pont Scethin – a very steep up and down way and hard to image traversed by a stagecoach and horses (see above image)

Mab the Dog (belonging to a friend) often accompanies me on my walks – here he is wanting to share my lunch
