LATEST PHOTOGRAPHY BOOK NEWS - "The River Conwy - Source to Sea" - NOW PUBLISHED !
My third "Rivers of Wales" book follows the Afon Conwy from its source in Llyn Conwy high up in the Migneint near Llanfestiniog through to the north coast of Wales at Llandudno. Also included is the Machno, Lledr and Llugwy from their sources high up in the mountains to where they join with the Conwy - it is available now from me, all good book stores and on-line.
Foreword by Iolo Williams of Springwatch fame: "Nowhere has the history of this magnificent river been told so comprehensively as in this book. Alun Richards' words bring that history to life and Jean Napier's stunning photography ensures that the sounds of the cascading water ring in your ears as you read in the comfort of your own home."

EXHIBITIONS
"TIDE / LLANW"
My latest photographic exhibition is about the powerful influence the tides have on the north coast of Wales - how over the years waves carve and shape the rock into beautiful shapes and patterns to create an ever-changing shoreline and the winter tides expose ancient tree roots and peat diggings at Borth and Tywyn. "RHOSYDD - A PERSONAL VIEW" This black-and-white exhibition depicts the ruined Rhosydd Slate Quarry which is situated above Blaenau Ffestiniog and it illustrates a poem written in 1930 by an ex-quarryman. It is also available for booking
